Actually, that was one of the next books I was going to look for at the library. I've heard from many sources that it's great, and sci-fi is my favorite genre, so I'm sure I will love it.

But you could always send cookies anyway. ^_^

1) Ah, Cape Cod. I spent most of my summer vacations as a kid in Eastham and/or Orleans, and I miss it terribly :(

2) Nice to see you've seen the light on Macs...

Try living it. I grew up with this at the forefront and then working in construction only magnified it. It has changed in that now women and girls are believing hook line and sinker that this is their only purpose and value. And they have also adopted this thinking and behavior in their treatment of men. God did create men as visual beings, and to look at a woman and admire her physical beauty is much different that thinking of her as an object, not to mention full of pride that "it" is there just for you.
This is a belief of ignorant people. Your roommate, obviously on the higher levels of that hierarchy. Most of this hierarchy exists because of wrong thinking and insecurity. What I find at the top of the list of appalling and distressing is those men who have daughters and think it is fine to treat everyone else's daughter that way but not theirs.

Keep praying for wisdom, guidance, and compassion. You are not there by mistake.

Thank you for realizing we are more than just objects!!

Yeah, actually. I do want to keep some measure of privacy. The actual address is on the FaceBook page, where only friends can see it.

Tweaked to be bit more specific.
